We have found location is a key selling factor, with Millmerran being so close to city neighbours, yet with pricing so much more affordable. This attracts high-quality buyers to the region. Millmerran is located only 1 hour from Toowoomba, 2 ½ hours from Brisbane, and between 3 and 4 hours from the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. Millmerran offers a quiet rural lifestyle. As a rural town, Millmerran has good facilities including a hospital, retirement village, sporting facilities and good schools.

For us, real estate is not a job, it is a way of life. It is not a job to sell property in the town or district to a potential buyer as we love the area, the lifestyle and living here. We also like the challenge of finding the right property for each individual buyer and the satisfaction of bringing the seller and buyer together and then making the sale happen. The end result of settlement and having both parties satisfied is very rewarding.

The sales team at Millmerran Rural like to be upfront with buyers and sellers. For sellers, this means providing them with truthful appraisals, yet also allowing the client to make final decisions. Property Management

Millmerran Rural has a professional approach to property management with experienced, well trained, staff available to assist at any time. Our full-time Senior Property Manager, Kerry, has been an integral team member since opening in 2004.  Melissa, also a Property Manager, and Mandy on Reception, assist Kerry well and complete the team.

Rentals are generally in strong demand in Millmerran and district, with the vacancy rate being consistently low over the last couple of years. The demand is generally driven by the diverse range of employment opportunities available in the district. Areas of employment include a power station, mine, primary production (sheep, beef cattle, pigs, dairy, grains, poultry and cotton), egg production, feedlots, quarries, health (hospital, retirement village) and general business.

Millmerran Rural uses the Cloud-based Property Me Management Software, which keeps us in touch with the latest technology available in property management. Some of these features include:

  • A near paperless system, with staff being able to access documents from anywhere.
  • Detailed property inspection reports for owners, available promptly after inspections are completed.
  • The ability to give owners and tenants live current access to their records. (This is a process we are currently working on)
  • Easy disbursements to owners, enabling Millmerran Rural to disburse owner funds twice monthly.

Garth and Jason from Millmerran Rural are well known and respected for their wealth of experience in the livestock industry. Garth has been involved in the cattle industry all of his working life and is also a real estate licensee.

Jason’s qualifications include Licensed Auctioneer and Chattels Auctioneer, Real Estate Salesperson and Auctions Plus Assessor.

Mandy, Livestock Administrator and Receptionist, helps behind the scenes keeping the administrative side together.

Millmerran Rural go over and above to provide quality service to their clients, assisting with any livestock matters, including the hands-on approach if required. Clients also come to Millmerran Rural for all types of advice, from completing NVDs, helping with online registrations, animal health issues, directions to places, and even just for a friendly chat.

Jason is continuing his strong interest in the livestock industry and has recently established Fitzgerald Livestock Agencies Pty Ltd. Fitzgerald Livestock Agencies Pty Ltd started selling out of the Dalby Saleyards on 29 April 2020. Jason will be working with Maurice Smith, who has been in the agency business for the past 50 years. Jason’s new venture will complement his existing position at Millmerran Rural.

Clearing Sales

Millmerran Rural has an experienced and professional clearing sales team, having conducted clearing sales in Millmerran and District since 2004. Jason, Garth, Jan, Jo, and other family members complete the Clearing Sales team.

Millmerran Rural upgraded from a manual system to a fully computerised clearing sale system in 2016. This makes the process quick and easy for both Vendors and Buyers.  Buyers are able to check off quickly and Vendors receive a detailed Vendor Report on completion of the sale.

Site location is not a problem as access to power on site is not essential. We have a generator as a back-up power supply.

Online auction facilities are also available if required.
